You can expect to work on a diverse range of projects in the UK and overseas, spanning a variety of sectors, in a design studio environment. We work on some big projects, but you’ll find that ours is not a faceless, big-practice environment.
You’ll work with sector specialists and be sure that your career development is taken seriously. This comprises initial induction, ongoing training and CPD, and the opportunity to get involved in focus groups such as the sustainability working group.
The practice takes seriously its commitment to furthering architectural education, and supports Part 1, 2 and 3 staff with mentoring programmes, study leave and examination fee assistance. Career progression at the practice is demonstrated by the fact that one of our directors started their career here as a Part 1.
Aside from architecture, there are many other roles at the practice. Human resources, finance, marketing, PR, modelmaking, visualisation, graphic design and administration are all handled in-house.
It’s not only our projects that are diverse – so is our team. At the last count, the practice employed speakers of 22 languages, so there’s a real international culture, a lively social scene and regular cultural trips abroad.
Our family-friendly policies and enhanced maternity package mean that we have a high proportion of female architects in comparison to many practices – we back the 50:50 Charter. That’s not forgetting the fathers – we understand they also have an important role to fulfil, and we have an enhanced paternity package too. All staff enjoy a generous benefits package, which includes private healthcare (that even covers previous conditions), worldwide travel insurance, permanent health insurance, pension, bonus scheme and gym membership.
