
Matthew Burl joined John McAslan +
Partners in 2000 to run the Manchester
studio with Tony Skipper, having taken his Degree in Architectural Studies at the University of Sheffield. His first key role was as Project Architect
Architect for the new Law Faculty at
Manchester Metropolitan University, and most recently led the £55m scheme for the University
of Manchester Student Centre and
Nursing Building, a mixed-use
educational project. Matthew has led, or
contributed to, schemes including
the De La Salle Centre for Performing Arts and the Creative Arts building at South Trafford
College, Altrincham. Matthew specialises in
the education sector but has also experience in mixed-use, commercial and historic architecture.
