Natasha Martin’s
remit at John McAslan + Partners reflects a thorough grounding in the architectural sector over a period of more than 20 years. Martin joined JMP senior management level in 2000, with an established track record in key aspects of practice management at well-known and successful studios.
Prior to JMP, Martin had progressed through roles in office management, management accounts and employee contracts. She had also acted as company secretary, and in a previous role, was involved in planning and completing partnership buyout.
At JMP, Martin is responsible for the practice’s overall budget and financial control, which is geared to deliver annual profits of circa 15% of turnover. She is also involved in the financial structuring of individual architectural projects, and acts as Company Secretary. She has been a key player in both the practice’s management buy-in, and bank negotiations for the purchase of JMP’s new London office.
In her HR role, Martin strongly believes in adopting the Investors In People model and is improving JMP’s staff benefits well beyond CPD availability, which has added considerable value to the practice’s offer to potential staff at a time of rapid growth.
