This major project remodelled and extended the listed Royal Academy of Music (RAM), Britain's most established and celebrated music conservatoire.

The Heritage Lottery Fund-enabled scheme incorporates a site-wide campus strategy and recently completed internal interventions to the 1820s Grade I listed building on York Gate, designed by John Nash, which has become a 'living' museum, practice and teaching facility, and archive centre.  Within the courtyard between RAM and York Gate building, a bold new barrel-vaulted concert hall and recording studios has been inserted, which connects to both buildings.
 
The completed project has been extensively published and received an RIBA Award for Architecture in 2002.
