The masterplan and design for this ultra-high spec. residential development on the St John's Wood Barracks site, London was won through an invited competition. The practice is refining masterplan options for the site, to deliver residential accommodation consisting of private villas, townhouses, apartments, and affordable units. This will be a high value, high quality landmark residential development that accentuates the existing urban grain, and provides connectivity through the site, adding to the character of St John's Wood.
The site represents a large, but contextually and socially sensitive redevelopment opportunity in one of the most exclusive parts of north-west London. With a listed riding school at its heart refurbished for leisure use, the site is surrounded by a rich mixture of architecture, and neighbourhood uses. The scheme achieved planning in 2010.
